We’re delighted to share that Calderdale College won Best B2C Campaign at the Prolific North Marketing Awards 2026, securing one of the region’s most respected marketing accolades.
The work of the College’s Marketing Team was celebrated at the ceremony which took place at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Thursday 14 May, after competing against campaigns from across the region.
The award recognises a campaign that set out to do more than raise awareness – it aimed to encourage action at a critical moment for prospective students and their families, helping more learners engage earlier in their decision-making journey.
The campaign ‘Applications Now Open’ was delivered through a highly targeted, insight-led approach, achieving exceptional results and demonstrating the impact that clear strategy, innovation and collaboration can have within further education marketing.
Judges commended the campaign for its clear objectives, effective use of channels and strong creative approach. They noted the team’s success in generating meaningful engagement and action from its target audience, describing the results as particularly impressive given the modest campaign budget.
Calderdale College Principal and Chief Executive, David Malone said: “This recognition is a tremendous achievement for our Marketing Team. Their hard work, innovation and commitment continues to strengthen the visibility and reputation of the College across our communities, ensuring more students and their families explore the opportunities available to them.”
A special mention must also go to Marketing Team Leader Ella Howarth, who played a leading role in driving the campaign forward with creativity, focus and determination from start to finish.
Reflecting on the award, Ella said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this award. Applications Now Open is one of the most important campaigns in our recruitment calendar, and every year our team works hard to evolve and innovate the campaign to ensure we’re engaging Year 11 students in meaningful ways and achieving even better results.
“As the first campaign designed to encourage students to apply to post-16 education, it plays a vital role in helping young people make one of the most important decisions about their future. We want to showcase the opportunities available at Calderdale College and give students the confidence to take the next step towards their chosen career.
“This award is testament to everyone involved in delivering the campaign. It’s fantastic to see our work recognised and to know that we’re helping more young people discover the opportunities available to them after school.”
