Course Overview

Level 3 Criminology, Law and Psychology offers an engaging and academically rigorous introduction to the study of crime, justice and human behaviour. Students explore how laws are created and applied? Why people commit crime? and how society responds through the criminal justice system? The course combines theoretical knowledge with real-world case studies, developing critical thinking, analysis and evaluation skills essential for higher education and career pathways.

You will examine key psychological theories, legal principles and criminological perspectives, including criminal profiling, forensic investigation and the role of courts and policing. Emphasis is placed on research skills, ethical awareness and effective communication. Ideal for students aiming for careers in policing, law, probation, psychology or social work.

This course provides a strong foundation for university study and employment in related sectors, preparing you to understand and influence the world around you. It also encourages independent learning and confident decision making in complex situations.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

Applicants must possess 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including GCSE English and Maths.

Once you have applied, you will be invited to an interview. This is our chance to get to know you and an opportunity for you to ask any questions before you start with us in September.

Progression

It will support entry to many higher education courses. The qualification can also support progression to employment directly, or via an apprenticeship.
