Course Overview

This is the ideal course for anyone interested in the construction industry as it gives you knowledge and experience of various trades. This is suitable for 14-16 year olds wanting an introduction to construction trades to gain skills and decide which trade is the right one to pursue a career in.

Throughout this course, learners will get a taste of several trades. These may include:

  • Health & Safety
  • Introduction to Construction
  • Basic Joinery
  • Painting & Decorating
  • Plastering
  • Brickwork

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

No previous qualifications required, however, applicants are asked to bring in a portfolio of work in Maths and English at the initial meeting and be expected to be working at a minimum of high Entry 3 or Level 1 in Maths before starting the course. This will be measured at the initial assessment in the Admissions process.
