Course Overview

The ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership & Management provides a structured and practical approach to building leadership capability. Learners will develop essential communication, leadership and problem-solving skills and apply them directly to their own work environments.

Each module is mapped to real business scenarios and encourages reflective practice and strategic thinking. This 20 week programme will be delivered through face-to-face classroom-based sessions, supported by group activities, practical case studies and personalised learning resources.

  • Solving problems and making decisions
  • Understanding leadership
  • Developing people in the workplace
  • Understanding marketing for managers
  • Developing own leadership capability using action learning
  • Understanding how to manage remote workers
  • Understanding how to motivate to improve performance
  • Management communication
  • Developing your leadership styles
  • Understanding the management role to improve management performance

Assessment Methods

Learners will complete ILM-assessed written assignments and action learning activities.

Course Fees

Eligibility for fully-funded participants

  • Don’t already hold a Level 3 qualification
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification but are unemployed
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification, are employed or self-employed but earn less than £25,750 per annum

Participants must be 19 years or older as of 31 August 2025.

Participants must reside in West Yorkshire.
