Course Overview

Throughout this course, students will work through a range of exciting modules. During the first module, students will cover moving image, animation and editing techniques, digital graphics and website design, photography, advertising and brand identity. Following this, you will have the choice to specialise in a chosen area for a self-identified project in the final term.

We cover learning about the creative industries and mapping future progression. Students will also have opportunities to gain vocational experience with live briefs and competitions and participate in the annual end-of-year exhibition.

All learners will study GCSE English alongside this course.

On this innovative and creative one year programme, candidates study the main areas of Creative Media developing skills in:

  • Investigation

  • Problem solving

  • Teamwork
  • Presentation skills

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

No previous qualifications required, however, applicants are asked to bring in a portfolio of work in Maths and English at the initial meeting and be expected to be working at a minimum of high Entry 3 or Level 1 in English before starting the course. This will be measured at the initial assessment in the Admissions process.
