Course Overview

This qualification is designed to increase individuals’ knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental well-being. Successful completion of the required units will allow the individual to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of mental health. It will also support learner progression into relevant employment within the health and social care sector.

Throughout this course, you will complete modules on:

  • Understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing
  • Promotion of mental health and wellbeing
  • Mental health problems: associated issues and consequences
  • Understanding mental ill health
  • Working in mental health

Weekly sessions, every Wednesday face-to-face form 9:30am till 12:30pm  at Calderdale College

Course Fees

Eligibility for fully-funded participants

  • Don’t already hold a Level 3 qualification
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification but are unemployed
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification, are employed or self-employed but earn less than £25,750 per annum

Participants must be 19 years or older as of 31 August 2025.

Participants must reside in West Yorkshire.
