Course Overview

Personal training plays an important role in improving the health of the nation, creating opportunities to get more people, more active, more often. Start your journey into a rewarding career of supporting people achieve their goals with our one-year Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training.

This full-time course will enable students to become qualified Personal Trainers, ready to make a positive contribution to the workplace and to the health and well-being of a broad range of clients with different needs, in different types of environment. The qualification is mapped to the CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) Personal Trainer Professional Standard.

During this course, you will cover modules including:

  • Applied anatomy and physiology for exercise and fitness
  • Client motivation and lifestyle management
  • Programming personal training sessions
  • Delivering personal training sessions
  • Nutrition to support a physical activity programme
  • Understanding business for personal trainers

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

A suitable Level 2 qualification in Gym Instructing or Sport and grade 4s in Maths and English.

Progression

This qualification supports progression into employment as a personal trainer or other qualifications in the sport industry.
