The Level 3 Diploma in Music Performance and Production is a practical and creative course designed for aspiring musicians, performers, and producers who want to develop the skills needed for today’s music industry. The programme combines live performance training with modern music production, allowing students to explore their musical identity while gaining experience in both studio and stage environments.
Learners will develop their skills, learn to record and produce music using industry-standard software and equipment, and collaborate with other musicians on creative projects in partnership with The Piece Hall, in Halifax.
The course emphasises hands-on learning through rehearsals, recording sessions, and live performances, helping students build confidence and real-world experience. Alongside creative and technical development, students also gain an introduction to the music industry, including promotion, branding, and portfolio building. By the end of the course,

This course is fully funded for individuals who either:
Participants must be 19 years old or older as of 31st August 2025 and must reside in West Yorkshire.
Progression
After completing this course, you may progress into higher education, an apprenticeship or into employment.
