Course Overview

This course builds on the basics of Excel and introduces more advanced features to improve data management, analysis and presentation. Participants will gain confidence in using formulas, linking worksheets, managing data validation, conditional formatting and protecting workbooks. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to use Excel more effectively for professional tasks and reporting

Content
• Working with multiple worksheets and linking data across files
• Creating and managing range names for navigation and formulas
• Writing formulas using statistical and conditional functions (e.g., IF)
• Applying and customising conditional formatting, including data visualisations
• Setting up data validation rules with input messages and error alerts
• Protecting cells, worksheets and entire workbooks with passwords
• Creating, modifying and applying workbook templates
• Using AutoFilter for sorting and filtering lists (text, number, date, colour filters)

Aimed at
Those who have completed the Excel Introduction course or already have a good working knowledge of Excel and want to develop intermediate-level skills

Eligibility
Completion of Excel Introduction or equivalent practical experience with Excel
