Diploma in Barbering – Level 2 (Part-time)

This course is ideal if you are interested in all aspects of men’s hairdressing. The qualification is highly practical and provides the skills and underpinning knowledge to practice as a barber.

This course will be of interest to people with men’s hairdressing skills or those new to the industry. You will learn new skills that will enable you to work as a Barber in this ever-growing industry.

The units are selected on the basis of relevance to the industry and the employability value and include:

• Cut hair using basic barbering techniques – including neck line and outline shapes
• Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques – tapered beard line, outlined beard and moustache shapes
• Dry and finish hair – various styling techniques and finishing looks using a wide range of products
• Create basic patterns in hair – create patterns in the hair including curved lines to cover 25% of the head
