Diploma in Barbering – Level 2 (Part-time)

This course will be of interest to people with men’s hairdressing skills or those new to the industry. You will learn new skills that will enable you to work as a Barber in this ever increasing industry.

The units are selected on the basis of relevance to the industry and the employability value and include:

• Cut Hair Using Basic Barbering Techniques – including neck line and outline shapes
• Cut Facial Hair to Shape Using Basic Techniques – tapered beard line, outlined beard and moustache shapes
• Dry and Finish Man’s Hair – various styling techniques and finishing looks using a wide range of products
• Create Basic Patterns in Hair – create patterns in the hair including curved lines to cover 25% of the head
