This course is ideal if you are interested in all aspects of men’s hairdressing. The qualification is highly practical and provides the skills and underpinning knowledge to practice as a barber.
This course will be of interest to people with men’s hairdressing skills or those new to the industry. You will learn new skills that will enable you to work as a Barber in this ever increasing industry.
The units are selected on the basis of relevance to the industry and the employability value and include:

Mondays 2:00pm – 9:00pm
Entry Requirements & Interview Process
Students aged 16-18 must possess 4 GCSEs at grade D or grade 3 or above to include Maths and English or equivalent.
All will be interviewed and will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and good communication skills.
Progression
On completion, you will be able to work in industry and/or progress on to the Level 3 NVQ in Barbering to further develop your skills to become a first class Barber.
Assessment Methods
The course is based on development and assessment of practical skills, underpinning knowledge which is assignment work and online tests.
Completion of assessments builds a portfolio of evidence.
