T Level – Craft & Design

Entry Requirements:
Five GCSE passes (grade 4 or above), including English, maths and science, or a pass in a relevant Level 2 Qualification.

Course Info

During this 2-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of occupations in the art & design sector.

You will study:

  • The creative industry
  • Creating your individual voice and style
  • Cultural context
  • Creative professional standards
  • Research skills
  • Project research, building and design


Project based learning is used as the model for teaching, learning and assessment. You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom or workshop and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look for.

  • Start Date: September 2023
  • Days: This course runs 3 days a week plus an industry placement
  • UCAS Points: You will gain the following UCAS points based on your grade: D* = 168, D = 144, M = 120, P (C+) = 96, P (D or E) = 72

  • 36 Weeks in College
  • 45-day Industry Placement
