The BTEC Level 1 in Sport is designed to develop key skills and sporting knowledge. This course is ideal for students who are passionate about sport and want to gain a deeper understanding of physical activity, health, and personal development.
Throughout the course, students will complete a variety of units that focus on enhancing personal development, improving social and communication skills, and building a strong foundation of sporting knowledge.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process
An introductory course suitable for beginners. School leavers should aim for at least 4 GCSEs at grades G or grades 1 or above which should include one of the following – Maths, English, Science, PE or IT.
Applicants will be considered following a satisfactory interview with a tutor.
Progression
Successful students may progress onto our Level 2 Sport or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
Career Opportunities
Community Sport Coach, Referee, Sports Coordinator, Fitness Instructor.
Assessment Methods
Students are assessed through written tasks, presentations, group discussions, event planning and sport practicals.
