Manufacturing Day Open Event

In partnership with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services and Make UK, Calderdale College bring you an opportunity to open doors to a career in manufacturing. As part of National Manufacturing Day 2024, we’re showcasing modern manufacturing and the amazing employment opportunities available across West Yorkshire.

Manufacturers and engineers make a genuine difference in the world and are at the forefront of tackling global issues such as sustainability, renewable energy and the circular economy. The sector contributes around £7bn to the local economy, employing approx. 117,000 people and 14% of all high growth businesses in West Yorkshire are manufacturers.

• See demonstrations from The Engineering Centre apprentices and speak to our expert tutors about our courses
• Have a go at a whole host of activities, including 3D printing, testing your reaction time with a F1 in Schools racetrack, Virtual Reality demos and more!
• Hear about the variety of roles and careers available in the local area
