Learn with the Calderdale Cubs

The Calderdale College Netball Academy in partnership with Calderdale Cubs is a unique netball programme open to students aged 16-19. The academy provides fantastic opportunities for young netballers to develop their skills and experience. Whether you are an experienced netball player or a beginner, you can develop your netball alongside your full-time studies at Calderdale College.

The Programme

The netball programme is delivered by Calderdale Netball Cubs who are a competitive and fully inclusive junior netball club based at Calderdale College in Halifax.

They provide junior coaching for players from 5-16 years old and have a strong presence in the West Yorkshire Junior Netball League.

Calderdale Netball Cubs also works closely with the Calderdale Netball Club and have an established pathway for junior players aged 14+ to compete in the senior league.

The netball programme is delivered here at the Inspire Centre at Calderdale College. With one of the few two court sports halls and a recently refurbished gym, the academy squad have access to superb facilities.

Academy students are coached by highly qualified coaches with extensive netball experience in a professional environment for six to eight hours per week, in addition the main classroom based studies for around 12 hours, depending on their chosen course.
