Our curriculum reflects the needs of our local economy and community. Students can study in areas including construction, engineering, digital and creative media, health and social care, sport, business, childcare, performing arts and more. We offer a range of qualifications including:
…helping learners progress into employment, further study or higher education.
Learning at Calderdale College is designed to be practical, relevant and inspiring. Our specialist facilities give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environments that reflect real workplaces and industries.
Our Engineering Centre in Brighouse provides industry-standard training for students studying engineering courses or electrical and motor vehicle apprenticeships. The site features specialist workshops including welding and fabrication facilities, electrical bays and dedicated spaces for milling and turning. It is also home to the i4.0 Hub, where students can explore advanced manufacturing technologies such as robotics, helping them develop the skills needed for the modern engineering sector.
Alongside this, Mill Studios is a state-of-the-art creative and digital hub for students studying Esports, Games Design and media production. Equipped with industry-standard technology, the space allows students to develop practical creative skills while learning in a professional environment, connected to the region’s thriving creative industries.
We work closely with employers and partners across the region to ensure our courses develop the skills businesses need now and in the future. Through work placements, apprenticeships and real-world projects, our students gain valuable experience that prepares them for the workplace.
But our impact goes beyond qualifications. As Calderdale’s College, we are committed to supporting young people and strengthening our communities. From 14-16 programmes and full-time courses, to flexible adult learning and higher education opportunities, we provide clear pathways that help learners move forward with confidence.
Every year our students progress into employments, apprenticeships, university and new careers – and many go on to make a difference right here in Calderdale.
