Philip Harris

Philip Harris, Course Leader, Painting & Decorating

I have been involved in the construction industry all of my working life. For twenty years I was a production manager for Hanson Building Products. I left there to start my own successful decorating business which ran for twelve years until, in 2009, I joined Calderdale College. Holding a L3 NVQ in Painting and Decorating as well as QTLS, enables me to teach across all levels, including functional Skills in maths and apprenticeships. My duel role as a Training officer enables me to place many of our learners into employment, with an aim to give all this opportunity.
