Why University Centre
Calderdale College?

At our University Centre we’re proud of what we offer our students. Here are just some of the reasons why you should choose us.

Learn from the experts

All of our tutors work or have worked in industry, with a wealth of knowledge, experience and professional contacts to enrich your learning journey.

Remain Local

If you live in or around the Calderdale area you can take advantage of the FREE parking available on site, or you may wish to use public transport. We are a small university centre, usually attracting applicants from the local area so we do not have any undergraduate accommodation. So if you plan to move to the area to study you will need to find suitable accommodation while you study.

Save Money

Calderdale College offers flexible financial solutions which means there is nothing to stop you from achieving! Studying at University Centre Calderdale College is more cost-effective than studying at a university. Your tuition fee loan only needs to be repaid once you earn over the repayment threshold – see the Fees and Funding page for more information.

It's all about you

Enjoy small class sizes, outstanding classroom and tutorial support from your lecturer, with superb library resources, academic skills and pastoral support. Full- or part-time courses fit around your lifestyle and other commitments. Your teaching and learning experience is rich and immersive.

We’ll ensure that you have the right sort of support to help you realise your full potential. We also have an award winning careers advice and student services team, who are on hand to offer information, advice and guidance.

Employability

We work closely with local employers, professional bodies and organisations to ensure our courses deliver the skills and knowledge that are needed in the workplace.

We have a range of degree courses including Early Years, Creative Arts, Business, Health & Social Care, Art & Design and Sport, plus a wide range of professional qualifications on a part-time basis including Human Resources (CIPD), Leadership and Management (ILM) and Bookkeeping and Accounting (AAT).
