AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment

Study Area: 19+
Duration: 3 Days
Attendance: Part Time

Course Overview

Take the final step to becoming a fully qualified electrician.

Complete your AM2 Assessment at our on-campus Test Centre

If you’re in the later stages of studying to become an electrician, you are required to complete a final assessment to demonstrate your acute skills and technique. This is called the AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment of Occupational Competence.

If you’ve been studying the City and Guilds 2365 Electrotechnical Technology, or City & Guilds 5357 NVQ Level 3 to qualify as an electrician, the next step is to complete an AM2 assessment to officially prove your competence. The AM2 qualification is also one of the requirements for obtaining the ECS/JIB, Approved Electricians Gold Card.

The good news is, you can take this test at our exclusive AM2 Test Centre facility, based here on campus in Halifax.

Our AM2 Test Centre

We are one of only three AM2 Test Centres in the whole of Yorkshire. Our location in the Pennines also makes us an accessible test centre for Lancashire, and you can use the facility to take your test even if you have trained at a different college.

We provide a unique facility with all the necessary tools and equipment, including test meters, for you to use to demonstrate your skills during examination.
