Meet the Course Leader

Stephen Baitscheff, Course Leader, Plumbing

Over the years I've worked on the installation, repair and servicing of plumbing, heating and gas systems in domestic, commercial and industrial premises. After working for over 30 years in the trade - and on the tools - I had the chance to become a qualified teacher. I saw this as a great opportunity to pass on my knowledge and experience to students wishing to join the plumbing and heating trade. I really enjoying being part of a team that invests in the industry's future, and it's rewarding giving people the expertise to create a decent career for themselves.

Student Testimonial

Level 3 Plumbing student, Reece Burke

I chose plumbing because I spent some time working with my cousin who was a Plumber and I enjoyed it, which helped me to make my mind up. The tutors on my course take the time to help you outside of lessons and go out of their way. I've enjoyed my time at Calderdale College and I think the course is well worth doing.
