This qualification is designed to provide an introduction to neuroscience from birth to seven years. The duration of the course is 6 months and is leading on from the level 2 certificate in understanding children and young people’s mental health. It will support learners who are seeking a career within the early years sector to know how to support children who need to know how to self-regulate.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

The learners must have 3 GCSE’s, with at least 3’s in English and Mathematics. The learners must range between the ages of 16-18 years old.

Progression

Students can progress onto the level 2 foundation to T-level or depending upon GCSE grades (Mathematics and English) onto the T-level in Education and Childcare.

Assessment Methods

This course will be assessed through coursework for each unit of knowledge.
