Entry Requirements & Interview Process

You will be required to complete an Initial Assessment, which determines your current level of understanding in the subject. This helps us place you on the most suitable course for your skills. Once this has been completed, you will be enrolled to begin your learning journey.

You will need to complete an online application. Then you will be invited into an assessment and enrolment day to complete the assessment, discuss options with a qualified tutor and then enrol.

Progression

  • Further Education – The qualification prepares learners for progression to Level 2 vocational courses in a wide range of sectors including health and social care and childcare.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is portfolio-based. Learners complete a range of assessments and practical tasks designed to demonstrate their understanding and skills. These are internally assessed by subject tutors and then internally and externally quality assured to ensure they meet national standards. There are no formal exams, making it a supportive option for learners who prefer coursework and continuous assessment. Feedback is constructive and personalised, supporting each learner’s journey towards progression and success.
