Before attending college, Jonas was educated at home so he could maintain a flexible schedule around his gymnastics training.
His tutor, Suzanne Griffiths, said: “In 2019 Jonas joined the college studying Level 2 Creative Media, while keeping up with his training and competition commitments. In September 2021, he progressed onto the Level 3 qualification and continues to juggle academic studies alongside his training with the England Gymnastics squad.

“Jonas has coped well doing his college work alongside his gymnastics commitments. We planned for him to do some work at home as well as in class, to help with his projects so that he never falls behind.
“Due to his dedication to his studies, we, as a curriculum area, adapt his learning, dependent on his sport activities and if he needs to work remotely.
“He works well within a team in class and I feel this may be due to the sports discipline and teamwork. He is hitting his targets and, in some areas, he is excelling his target grade, he’s a real pleasure to teach.”\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
