The Access to HE Business utilises a variety of speakers from local businesses who come and talk about their businesses, offering valuable insight into working scenarios. Students also go and spend time with big businesses locally to find out about their structure and the way successful businesses are managed.
To help the transition from Access to Higher Education, we also encourage students to liaise with Higher Education Admission Officers at different universities and attend Open University Days.
Teaching is provided by qualified staff who have worked in the sector for a number of years. Their knowledge is constantly updated by training and they attend regular guidance sessions with the awarding body to keep abreast of changes in national standards.
This diploma is validated and approved by One Awards.
Lessons are delivered in a variety of formats which include the use of presentations, workshops, independent research, lectures, class discussions and debates.
There is a strong emphasis on independent study in the second semester to help students prepare for a Higher Education learning environment.
