Course Overview

This qualification brings you the best of the BTEC tradition of developing independent, vocationally aware learners through the right balance between teaching/learning and assessment.

These qualifications support a curriculum where learners continually revisit their skills, adding levels of refinement, sophistication and precision as they progress

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

An intermediate course suitable for those who have at least 4 GCSEs at grade D or grade 3 to include Maths or English or a relevant/equivalent Level 1 qualification. This could be a BTEC Introductory Diploma, a City and Guilds qualification, an NVQ Level 1, a GNVQ Foundation or relevant work experience.

Applicants will be asked to show examples of their work at interview and show enthusiasm and a commitment to the course.

Progression

This course builds and enhances your existing skills and techniques and offers a specialist qualification focusing on specific jobs within the Art & Design industry. Candidates may wish to progress to the Level 3 Art & Design course.

Assessment is continuous based on set projects.
