Course Overview

This NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate aims to raise awareness of mental health and a range of mental health problems.

This qualification is designed for anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the problems that can cause mental ill health.

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above.

There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification, although learners may find it useful to have previously achieved a Level 1 qualification in a health, social care or mental-health related area.

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, learners are required to successfully complete 13 mandatory units.

Hours: 12 hours per week

Mondays and Tuesdays

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above to include English Language. Applicants aged 19+ must have relevant experience if they do not meet the entry criteria. Applicants will also take part in an Admissions Event interview.

Progression

Progression onto further Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care courses such as Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care or an Access to HE course.
