Barbering Professional – Level 2 Standard

Study Area: Apprenticeships
Duration: 1-2 Years
Attendance: Part Time

Course Overview

The Level 2 Diploma in Professional Barbering is a newly created qualification. The Diploma will lead to the achievement of the Barbering Professional Standard, alongside the relevant functional skills and the End Point Assessment (EPA) module.

Our apprenticeship can be delivered completely in the work place (your salon) or you can combine working at your salon with one day per week at our college where you will upskill in all areas of the programme.

We will prepare you throughout the programme to be confident and productive in your role in the salon and will provide you with all the tools you will need in order to confidently take part in the end point assessment.

If you have a creative flair and a passion for the Barbering industry then this is the apprenticeship for you.

The Diploma for the Barbering Professional is a qualification designed for learners who are at least 16 years old and who wish to develop the skills and knowledge needed to begin to work as a Hairdresser.

You may have previously completed a Level 1 qualification in the relevant subject area, however this is not a mandatory requirement. If you wish to complete this qualification, you will be doing so as an employed, apprentice in a real work environment.

Delivery is flexible and there is a 20% off job learning allowance. This standard includes End Point Assessments for certification of the apprenticeship
