BTEC Level 1 Certificate for IT Users & Work Skills
This is an ideal course if you are interested in working in an IT related field such as office work, but need to develop your skills and understanding of employment opportunities.
You will learn about the types of jobs that are available, who you might work for and what working will be like.
The course involves learning to use a computer for business activities, developing an understanding of how computers work and how to use the internet.
It will also develop personal finance management.
The course combines the delivery of IT skills with employability skills.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process
An introductory course suitable for beginners. School leavers should aim for at least 4 GCSEs at grade G or grade 1 including Maths and English.
Progression
This course can lead to employment within the IT and Business Administration sector as well as progression onto: Level 2 Digital Skills Development, a Creative Technology course or an Apprenticeship in IT or Business Admin.
Assessment Methods
This course is assessed entirely through coursework.
This coursework is internally set and marked. It is then externally verified by the examining body.
Course Fees
Free for students aged 16 – 18 years.
£660 for 19 +. The fee quoted is for guidance only and will be confirmed at enrolment.
