NCFE CACHE Entry Level Certificate in Caring for Children

A career in education and early childhood development can be stimulating, satisfying and rewarding, and provides the opportunity to influence and shape many lives.

This course is a one year full time programme designed for people who wish to learn how to care for a young child in a home setting or a day care setting.

During this course you will become well-equipped in all aspects of:

  • Healthy eating for children

  • Functional skills, English and maths
  • Enhance: student personal development programme

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

Students will need no formal qualifications to apply. Entry level courses are for learners who want to progress.

All students who wish to enrol on a childcare course must have a clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) record and supply two satisfactory references.

The course tutor will provide details at the interview.

Progression

Level 1 Diploma in Caring for Children or Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Social Care and Children’s and Young Peoples Settings.

Assessment Methods

This programme is unit based therefore students will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence. This is gathered through task completion, tutor reports, assignments and action plans.
