Course Overview

Our Digital Communication course offers a hands-on approach to exploring various creative mediums, from digital design and photography to film and social media content.

You’ll master essential software like Adobe Suite while experimenting with innovative hardware and techniques. In your first year, you’ll build a strong foundation in digital media fundamentals. Then, in your second year, you’ll specialise in an area that excites you.

During this course you will become well equipped in all aspects of:

  • Studio and location photography
  • Film making and editing
  • Animation
  • Graphic media
  • Corporate film
  • Social media communications

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

An advanced course suitable for those with at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 to include Maths and English or a relevant Level 2 qualification such as BTEC First Diploma, GNVQ Intermediate, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent/relevant work experience.

Applicants will be asked to show a portfolio of their work during an interview.

Progression

After your first year you will progress onto year 2 Digital Media Communication. After the course, you will be eligible to progress onto the Graphic Media Communication Foundation Degree at Dean Clough Halifax or another Higher Education course.
