The qualification consists of a range of core units to provide opportunities for learners to develop skills in the areas such as literacy, numeracy, ICT, employability, learning to learn and personal development.

Employability
This qualification offer individuals transferrable employability skills needed for employment such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving. The qualifications are designed to enable a learner either to progress directly into employment or into further learning as part of a progression pathway towards employment in a specific sector. They have been designed to complement learning in specific sectors where there is a need for the learner to obtain additional employability skills alongside sector-specific skills.

This diploma supports learners in enhancing their employability and confidence around sewing and garment construction.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process
Individuals will be enrolled subject to passing an initial assessment.
Progression
Learners have gone on to enrol on the funded Customer Service (L2) qualification and from there have found it less challenging to find employment or enrol on to further education.
