Course Overview:

The qualification purpose is to give learners knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in Business to support progression to employment, to an apprenticeship or to further study at a higher level.

Career Opportunities:

The qualification provides a range of introductory skills, as well as core knowledge, relevant to business and administration. Units include knowledge and skills relevant to different job roles in the sector such as marketing, finance and customer relations

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

There is no requirement for learners to have prior skills, knowledge or understanding. However, learners should normally have achieved or be working towards qualifications in English and Mathematics at least at level 2.

Interview Process

All applicants will have an interview with the specialist tutor.

Progression

The qualification is designed to enable progression into further learning at the same level (e.g. from a certificate to a Diploma) or to further learning at a higher level. The strong focus on transferable employability skills means that learners will have the necessary skills to progress directly into employment, particularly where work-based training is offered.
