The level 2 certificate in understanding children and young people’s mental health is a 6-month qualification that looks into mental health context, concerns, impacts and strategies in and around society. Students develop and apply their knowledge through interactive learning and industry reflective assessments and have opportunity to access work related activity, work experience and to engage with employers in readiness for their next steps.
Students develop an understanding of what job roles are in and around mental health through industry placement visits and discussions. This supports students’ knowledge of where, how and who they can support from achieving their level 2 qualification.
