Course Overview

Welcome to the thrilling world of Esports. Where gaming meets competition, strategy evolves with skill, and where teamwork outright reigns!

Get ready to dive into the dynamic, vast growing world of Esports. Where your passion for gaming erupts into a pathway of learning, growth and success. 

This two-year Extended Diploma, accredited by Pearson, aims to equip participants with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in various roles such as team management, event coordination, and strategic planning within the competitive gaming industry. 

During this two-year course you will become well equipped in all aspects of:  

  • Esports Skills, Strategies and Analysis  
  • Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in the Esports Industry 
  • Health, Wellbeing and Fitness for Esports Players 
  • Esports Events  
  • Live-streamed Broadcasting 
  • Video Production
  • Esports Coaching 
  • Producing an Esports Brand 

By joining the Esports program, you will study all the aspects you need to work in the Esports industry. The Esports program includes planning, running and managing events, improving your own in game strategy and how to successfully manage and market an Esports team. There will be opportunities throughout the two years for you to represent the College at Esports Events and take your career to the next level within the industry.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

An advanced course suitable for those with at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or grade 4 to include English or a relevant Level 2 qualification such as BTEC First Diploma, GNVQ Intermediate, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent/relevant work experience.  

Applicants will be asked to show examples of their work at an interview.

Progression

By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to take on leadership roles within Esports organisations, contribute strategically to team success, and move on to Higher Education.
