Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
Entry Requirements: Level 2 Plumbing Apprenticeship
The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Plumbing is for those that have completed the Level 2 and want to continue to develop their skills. Skills include designing systems and managing other plumbers.
Level 3 plumbers are expected to work on their own initiative and supervise the work of others.
You could be working on domestic, commercial or industrial systems.
Whilst at work you will build a portfolio of work based evidence as part of the NVQ assessment process.
There are 2 pathways available, they are domestic gas installation or rain water recycling.
You will attend College one day a week and in the second year you will be required to attend a one week block to complete some assessment tasks.
The underpinning knowledge Diploma is delivered at College and the NVQ portfolio is developed in the workplace.
All aspects of your learning will be supported by a Training Officer.
Entry Requirements & Interview Process
Applicants must have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship.
A discussion will take place between the applicant, the employer and the Training Officer to establish whether the range of work is available to ensure that the apprentice can achieve.
