Course Info

This course is designed to prepare you for a career within a Uniformed Public Service Organisation.

It will be of particular interest for those who wish to pursue a career in the Police, Fire, Ambulance and Prison or Security Services as well as the Armed Services (Army, Navy and RAF), HM Customs and Excise and other emergency related organisations.

  • Leadership and Teamwork
  • Communications and Technology
  • Expedition Skills
  • Major Incidents
  • Discipline and Human Behaviour
  • Crime and its’ Effects

On this course you will also get the opportunity to complete your Emergency First Aid qualification and One Star British Canoe Union Award.


Specialist tutors will deliver the individual units in the form of both theory and practical sessions.

Presentations, group work, day trips, residential and guest speakers will all add to the learning experience on this course.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

An advanced course suitable for those with at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C, or grades 9-4 which should include Maths & English or a relevant Level 2 qualification at merit or above or relevant work experience.

Candidates will also require a satisfactory reference from their school or current tutor.
