Course Overview

City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Fabrication & Welding.

This course is ideal for learners wanting to build on the skills and knowledge gained at Level 2.

The course will develop a range of practical skills that are currently in demand throughout the fabrication and welding industry, as well as offering the opportunity through completion of additional units to gain a detailed scientific knowledge and understanding of the subject that will support progression into further study at higher levels, or employment.

In addition to learning the practical aspects of different welding, cutting and fabrication techniques you will be taught how to work safely and effectively and gain a detailed knowledge of health and safety law.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

You will need to have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Fabrication & Welding.

Progression

Progression onto employment in the industry.

Assessment Methods

Students will be assessed through practical assessments and portfolio work. Units will include MIG, sheet metal, platework, plus 2 mandatory online exams.
