Course Overview

This qualification is designed for learners with an interest in the uniformed protective services. It will inform and prepare learners as a potential recruit for a variety of uniformed protective services such as the Army, Navy, RAF, Prison Service, Fire & Rescue or Police.

This course will focus on learning about uniformed protective services, covering important core knowledge and theories that can be applied in many different situations. The course will also provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills.

Entry Requirements & Interview Process

Interview for Level 1 & appropriate references. Level 2 Course 4 GCSEs at grade 3 which should include Maths or English, or a relevant/equivalent Level 1 qualification or relevant work experience.

Applicants will be invited for a 1-1 interview with one of the course leaders.

Progression

After successfully completing the course, students can progress onto L3 if successful and achieve the qualification – Level 3 NCFE Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services (hyperlink).

Assessment Methods

No exams. Submission of assignments within a deadline. A variety of assessment methods will be used including written assignments, presentations, practical activities and demonstrations, posters, leaflets
